Special Education Paraprofessional (2 Positions)

QUALIFICATIONS: HS Diploma or equivalent; 60 College Credit Hours/Paraprofessional Certificate preferred.

REPORTS TO: Special Education Director

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to work collaboratively with and under the direction of others.

Possess a positive attitude and be flexible with change.

Ability to work with high needs students and maintain confidentiality.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

Serve as a personal aide or classroom paraprofessional.

Work with special or general education teachers to facilitate student learning and implementation of IEP.

Assist with managing student behaviors

Assist students with physical care, including bathroom needs and personal hygiene.

Supervise students in various settings of the school environment.

Perform other duties as directed by the Special Education Director or building principal which are related to facilitating success.

This is a 9 month position, hourly position. Medical insurance and retirement plan is included. Background check is required.
